Pak Anti-Corruption Court Dismisses Case Against Nawaz Sharif's Daughter

In a relief to jailed former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz, a Pakistani anti-corruption court on Friday dismissed a plea filed against her for submitting a fake document in the high-profile Avenfield Apartments case. Maryam, 45, the vice president of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) was accused of providing a fake trust deed during the hearing of the case.
Nawaz Sharif Denied Home Cooked Food, Daughter Warns Of Hunger Strike

PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz threatened to stage a-hunger-strike outside Kot Lakhpat-jail in Lahore if her father and former-PM Nawaz Sharif was denied provision of homecooked food in the prison. "The fake-government has imposed restrictions on homemade meals for Nawaz Sharif. The staff who took his food has been waiting outside the jail for the last-five-hours," she tweeted in Urdu while attacking the ruling PTI-government.
