Engineers, MBAs among 4,000 applicants for 14 sweepers' post in TN

People with professional qualifications such as MTech, BTech and MBA and post graduates are among 4,000 applicants who have registered for 14 posts of sanitary worker and sweeper at the Tamil Nadu assembly secretariat. The salary for the posts is reportedly fixed in the slab of Rs.15,700-Rs.50,000. The only qualification the job required was the candidate should be able-bodied.
50% jump in girls taking IIM entrance in 5 years

CAT 2018, the entrance test for the IIMs, saw 50% more women candidates than six years ago. This year, 84,350 women registered for the Common Admission Test compared to 56,409 in 2013. Women also contributed to over 50% growth in overall registrations from 2017. In all, there were 2.41 lakh aspirants this year, compared to 2.29 lakh last year, revealed CAT registration data.
Maharashtra turns to MBAs to increase rural income

Maharashtra government is bringing in experienced management professionals hoping they will help improve the states rural livelihood programme and boost farmers income. For the past few days, professionals with MBAs are being interviewed for 29 positions. Professionals with experience in sales and marketing are being hired for the Village Social Transformation Foundation (VSTF).
