China locked down nearly 20-million in two-cities at the centre of a deadly virus outbreak banning planes and trains from leaving in an unprecedented move aimed at containing the disease which has already spread to other countries. Trains and planes out of Wuhan were indefinitely suspended, tollways on roads out the city were closed, leading to fear and panic for those who were trapped.
Top UN Court Orders Myanmar To Prevent Rohingya Genocide

The top court of the United Nations has ordered Myanmar to prevent acts of genocide against the country's persecuted Rohingya minority and to stop destroying evidence, in a landmark case at The Hague. The court found that Myanmar did not present concrete measures "recognizing and ensuring (the) right of Rohingya to exist as a protected group" under the genocide convention.

Lauding the efforts of students and common people who have been protesting against the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), actor Nandita Das said on Thursday that more places like Shaheen Bagh are coming up across the country. Ms Das also exhorted people to speak up against the CAA and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). Our Constitution has given us the right to equality.
