Amul hikes milk prices by Rs 2/ltr from tomorrow

Dairy major Amul said Monday it will increase milk prices by Rs 2 per litre in Delhi NCR, Maharashtra and other states from Tuesday due to an increase in production cost. Milk prices were last revised two years back in March 2017, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which sells milk and milk products under the Amul brand, said in a statement.
Mother Dairy to set up procurement centres in Varanasi

Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt Ltd said Monday it will undertake an extensive dairying and horticulture development project in Varanasi. Mother Dairy will set up the necessary infrastructure to support the sourcing and marketing of the farm produce such as milk and fresh fruits and vegetables (F&V), according to a statement by the company.
Milk strike called off with promise of Rs 25 per litre

The Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana (SSS) ended its four-day agitation after Dairy Development Minister Mahadev Jankar announced that the state set the minimum rate of milk at Rs 25 per litre. The decision will be implemented from July 21. MP Raju Shetti, founder of SSS, said milk supply would resume from Friday morning.
