Kamal Nath asks ministers to look after MLAs to prevent poaching

Days after the LS poll-results, Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath has moved swiftly to keep his flock of Congress MLAs together to thwart any poaching attempt by resurgent BJP. Mr Nath, whose five-month-old government is surviving on wafer-thin majority, has asked each of his Cabinet colleague to look after at least five legislators to check any desertion to the opposition camp, Congress leader said.
Majority of Delhi AAP MLAs refuse to declare assets to Lokayukta

Over 50 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs have refused to declare their assets and liabilities to Lokayukta. The MLAs instead sent their notices to Lokayukta stating that it lacks jurisdiction over the matter. AAP spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj said that AAP will support the filing of assets and liabilities when the Centre makes it compulsory under Lokpal and Lokayukta Act.
Full MPLADS funds spent in only 35 of 543 constituencies

The Centre is planning to change pattern of MPLADS funding, from two-instalments to one-every-year, following delay in completion of projects and release-of-funds by respective district-administrations. Data released by Union ministry of statistics and programme implementation shows that out of 543 elected Lok Sabha constituencies, only 35 constituencies utilized entire amount of Rs.25Cr with projects completed, since 2014, when the 16th Lok Sabha was constituted.
