A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly duping people on pretext of offering-jobs in southeast Delhi, police said. Gautam Kashyap, a resident of Burari, was arrested on Thursday, they added. He used to make calls to people claiming to be representative from a job-offering company and ask to transfer money as facilitation and other fees for job to his Paytm wallet, the police said.
Gold hits six-month high on growth fears, stock volatility

Gold prices scaled a more than six-month peak on Thursday as worries about a global economic slowdown and volatility in equities boosted safe-haven buying, while a weaker dollar offered support. Spot gold touched its highest since June 15 at $1,290.09, and was trading up 0.3% at $1,288.43 per ounce at 0443 GMT. U.S. gold futures were up about 0.5% at $1,290.20 per ounce.
16-Year-Old Boy Kidnapped and Murdered by Facebook Friend for Money

A 16-year-old boy was kidnapped and murdered in Punjab's Bathinda by a friend and his accomplice, the police said. The accused demanded Rs.2 crore from the boy's family but later reduced it to Rs.3 lakh. A trap was set and they were caught, following which they confessed to slitting the boy's throat and revealed they wanted to make 'easy money'.
