Goodbye Maruti Suzuki Gypsy! India's iconic off-roader retires

Maruti Suzuki is stopping production of its iconic Gypsy off-roader that was introduced in India in 1985. A recent e-mail addressed to Maruti Suzuki dealers instructed them not to accept any new bookings for the Gypsy. Gypsy was the company's third vehicle driven in the country after 800, which was discontinued in 2014, and Omni, to be discontinued in 2020.
Multi-year insurance policies for cars soon

While insurance companies have been offering multi-year policies for two-wheelers for some-time now, there are no such policies for four-wheelers. This might change soon, as the Supreme-Court has directed the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai) to decide on making third-party motor-insurance “mandatory” by 1 September, PTI reported. The court said this while referring to the recommendations of the SC-Committee on Road-Safety.
