On average, 50 in Mumbai suffer a stroke daily

Over 50-Mumbaikars suffer a stroke or brain attack every day but less than 10% of them get to the hospital in time to avoid its long-term paralyzing effects. With this public health emergency in mind, the Mumbai Stroke Society has begun training the state government's 108 free ambulance service-staff usually the first-responders in health emergencies at home on how to recognize symptoms of stroke.
4 killed, 2 hurt in car-tanker crash on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

Atleast four-persons, three of them members of a family, were killed and two others injured when their speeding-car rammed into a tanker on the Mumbai-Pune-Expressway in the early-hours of Friday, police said. The mishap took place near Rasayani, on the outskirts of Mumbai, at around 5-am, when the car-heading towards the metropolis rammed into the tanker moving in front of it, an official said.
Actor Aditya Pancholi Gets Pre-Arrest Bail In Rape Case

A court in Mumbai granted anticipatory bail to Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi in a-rape-case filed by a woman. Dindoshi-sessions court-judge H B Gaikwad allowed the pre-arrest bail plea filed by Aditya Pancholi, who has denied the rape and other allegations levelled by the woman, who is also an actor. Mr Patil had also argued that woman has lied about her date-of-birth in the complaint.
