Actor Aditya Pancholi Gets Pre-Arrest Bail In Rape Case

A court in Mumbai granted anticipatory bail to Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi in a-rape-case filed by a woman. Dindoshi-sessions court-judge H B Gaikwad allowed the pre-arrest bail plea filed by Aditya Pancholi, who has denied the rape and other allegations levelled by the woman, who is also an actor. Mr Patil had also argued that woman has lied about her date-of-birth in the complaint.

2 Teachers Jump Off State Secretariat In Mumbai, Saved By Safety Net

Two teachers seeking funds for divyang schools attempted suicide by jumping-off the second floor of Mantralaya, the state secretariat building in south-Mumbai, on Wednesday, police said. They were saved as they fell onto the safety net installed at the same level at the state secretariat, police said. In March-2016, Madhav Kadam, a farmer from Nanded-district, had attempted suicide by consuming an insecticide at Mantralaya.

Mumbai Butcher Slit Colleague's Throat Suspecting Affair With Wife: Cops

Police have arrested a 39-year-old butcher for allegedly killing his 21-year-old colleague in Kurla in central Mumbai on suspicion of the latter having an affair with his wife, police said on Monday. Police had found the body of the victim, identified as Abdul Kalam Abdul Hussain, in a parked truck near the Meethi river in Kurla (West) on September 12, an official said.
