CPSE ETF anchor subscription oversubscribed

The fifth tranche of CPSE ETF managed by Reliance Mutual Fund anchor book was oversubscribed by 5.78 times against anchor base issue size of 1,050-crore. "The CPSE ETF is trading at very attractive valuations. As of February-28, the dividend yield of the Index was as high as 5.52% compared to 1.25% for the Nifty 50" , said Vishal Jain, Head ETF, Reliance Mutual Fund.

Result: several-large-companies were compelled to disclose more than they were planning to, with promoters and managements reaching out to investors to explain their stand. Sebi may tighten liquid mutual fund rules

The Sebi is considering a proposal to tighten rules for liquid mutual funds holding assets worth Rs.8L crore or more to curb volatility in flows following the challenges facing finance companies in the wake of the debt default by IL&FS. The capital market regulator is planning a short lock-in period for investments in liquid funds, in which investors mostly large companies park idle cash.
