Doctors' Protest Against National Medical Commission Bill Continues

Healthcare services at many government hospitals were affected for the second consecutive day on Friday as resident doctors continued their strike and withdrew all services, including that at the emergency department, in protest against the National Medical Commission Bill. They also threatened to continue their strike for an indefinite period if their concerns regarding the bill were not addressed.
IMA strike over medical bill may affect OPD services today

Government-run health facilities in several parts of the country are likely to be disrupted on Wednesday after doctors' associations called for a strike against the new National Medical Commission(NMC) Bill, which was passed by the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. The strike was called by the IMA and supported by doctors in at least two key hospitals PGI Chandigarh and Delhi government-run Lok Nayak Hospital.
