
Over 70 Customers of UBI's Juhu Branch Lose Rs 20 Lakh in Six Hours

In another incident of bank fraud, several customers of Union Bank of India(UBI) in Mumbai found out that their debits cards were cloned and transactions to the tune of almost Rs.20L were made by fraudsters. According to a report, more than 70-customers of UBI's Juhu Tara Road branch claimed that fraudsters had siphoned nearly Rs.20L in less than six hours from their bank accounts.

65-Year-Old Man Loses Rs 73.5 Lakh in Bid to Enroll on Dating Site

Police have arrested three persons, including a woman, in Kolkata for cheating a 65-year-old man in Maharashtra of Rs.73.5 lakh after offering him membership of a dating site. Police said the victim had demanded cancellation of membership after some time, following which the accused extorted money from him by threatening to file a police complaint against him for "demanding girls".

SC Probe Into Killing Of Telangana Rape-Murder Accused By Cops

The Supreme Court has ordered an independent inquiry into the killing of the four men accused of the rape and murder of a 26-year-old woman in Telangana last week. The probe panel will be headed by retired top court judge VS Sirpurkar and includes Justice Rekha Prakash Sondur Baldota, a former Bombay High Court judge and former CBI director, DR Karthikeyan.
