Musharraf challenges special court verdict in SC

Former president and top military official Pervez Musharraf on Thursday has moved Supreme Court (SC) against the verdict of a special court to sentence him to death in the high treason case. According to details, the ex-president has stated that the special court had violated the constitution in the trial of treason case against him, therefore, the decision should be declared null and void.

Pakistan's ailing former-prime-minister Nawaz Sharif, who is currently undergoing treatment in London, may be shifted to the US next week for better medical care for his multiple diseases, a media report said. Nawaz Sharif, 69, left for London from Pakistan on November 19 in an air ambulance for medical treatment after the Lahore High Court allowed him to travel abroad for four weeks.

Pakistan's ailing former prime minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in London on Tuesday in an air ambulance to seek better medical treatment for multiple diseases. His air ambulance flight from Lahore landed in the UK in the evening after a stopover in Doha, Qatar. The air ambulance was equipped with an intensive care unit and an operation theatre.
