Maharashtra ranks No. 1 in India in hard crimes by juveniles

For the second year in a row, the biggest proportion of juveniles accused of hard crimes like murder and burglary is from Maharashtra, as per national crime records bureau (NCRB) data. Overall, the state is second, after Madhya Pradesh, when it comes to all crimes involving juveniles. Among cities, Mumbai is second, after Delhi, on this parameter.

Crime Rate In Delhi Highest Among Union Territories: Government Data

Delhi saw a rise of over 11% in cases of crime in 2017 as compared to 2016, data released by the National Crime Records Bureau showed. The national capital recorded the highest-crime-rate among the Union-territories in 2017, accounting for 4.9% of the total cases reported in the country, it said. The annual crime-data for 2017 was released after a delay of over a year.
