NIA Arrests Man At Delhi Airport In Pak-Based Terror Outfit Case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday arrested a 44-year-old man who arrived at the Delhi airport from Dubai in connection with a case linked to the banned Pakistan-based outfit Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF), a senior official said. They said Mohammad Arif Ghulambashir Dharampuria, a resident of Valsad district in Gujarat, was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).

NIA books three more terror suspects in Kerala as probe expands

The NIA probing the suspected Islamic State terror module in Kerala has booked three-more-persons from the state for their alleged involvement in terror activities, according to sources in agency. The three-men are Abubacker Siddique and Ahmad Arafath from Kasargode and Mohamad Faizal, a resident of Karunagapally. Sources said all three were in regular touch with Aboobacker and were planning to carry-out terror-attacks in state.

Court rejects plea seeking to bar Pragya Thakur from contesting poll

A special NIA court rejected an application filed by 59-year-old resident who lost his son in the 2008 Malegaon-blasts seeking to bar Pragya Singh Thakur, one of suspects in the case, from contesting the LS-elections. Special NIA judge VS Padalkar, dismissing the application filed by Sayyed Nisar Ahmed, said in his ruling that the court was not the appropriate forum to hear the plea.
