18 Indians Kidnapped By Pirates Near Nigerian Coast Released

Eighteen Indians, who were kidnapped by pirates from a Hong Kong-flagged vessel near the Nigerian coast, have been released. The Indian High Commission in Nigeria, in a tweet, confirmed the release of 18 Indian nationals, taken hostage from MT Nave Constallation on 3 December. The Indian High Commission High Commission thanked all stake holders including Nigerian Navy and Shiping Company for their safe release.
British Aid Worker Among 2 Shot Dead In Nigeria, 4 Tourists Abducted

Two people including a British aid worker have been shot dead and four tourists abducted in an attack by armed gunmen on a holiday resort in northwestern Nigeria, police said on Sunday. "Faye was a dedicated and passionate communications and learning specialist", Chief executive Neal Keny-Guyer said in a statement posted on social media, adding that colleagues were "utterly heartbroken".
