Noida Police To Issue Red Cards To Street Harassers, Stalkers

The Noida-Police will issue 'red-cards' to offenders found harassing women in public-places as a warning before initiating criminal proceedings against them if they are caught indulging in the act again, officials said. The red cards will be served through anti-Romeo squads, which comprise constables deployed in public places in plain clothes. There are 22 police-stations in Gautam Buddh Nagar and all have anti-Romeo squads.

An offensive comment related to Pulwama-terror attack emerged on social media in the name of a Jammu and Kashmir student in Greater Noida, with police Saturday clarifying it was done using a fake profile. Police also urged people to not believe rumours or share unverified information after a purported video surfaced on WhatsApp which claimed the arrest of a terrorist present in the district.
