A woman poured petrol on her 6-year-old daughter outside Safdarjung hospital in Delhi during a protest to demand justice for a 23-year-old rape victim who was set on fire in Unnao. The girl was taken to the emergency ward for treatment and the woman into custody by the police. The rape victim passed away on Friday night at the hospital.

Ericsson to pay over $1 billion to resolve U.S. corruption probes

Swedish mobile telecom company Ericsson has agreed to pay over $1 billion to resolve probes into corruption, including the bribing of government officials, the U.S. Department of Justice said. The bribery took place over many years in countries including China, Vietnam and Djibouti, the department said. Ericsson used third parties to pay bribes to government officials to secure and keep business, authorities said.

Rs 34-Crore Assets Of Gujarat Company Attached In Bank Fraud Case

Assets worth over Rs.34 crore of a Gujarat-based firm have been attached under the anti-money laundering law in connection with an alleged bank fraud case, the Enforcement Directorate said on Saturday. The Enforcement Directorate probe pertains to Biotor Industries Limited and its managing director, Rajesh M Kapadia, and others, which is also being investigated by the Gujarat police and the Central Bureau of Investigation.
