Video, Photos of ISIS Chief Baghdadi Raid Released By Pentagon

The Pentagon released video and photos on Wednesday of the US special forces raid that resulted in the death of ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Among the images released by the Defense Department was grainy black-and-white footage of US troops approaching on foot the high-walled compound in northwestern Syria where Baghdadi was holed-up. Before and after pictures of the isolated compound were also released.

The body of ISIS-chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was buried at sea by the US-military after he killed himself during the weekend raid on his Syrian-hideout, a Pentagon source told. No details were given on where or when the body was disposed of, but it paralleled the 2011 sea burial of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden after he was killed in US-special-forces raid in Pakistan.

India-US Bilateral Defence Trade To Reach $18 Billion By Year End: Pentagon

Ahead of the ninth India-US Defence Technologies and Trade Initiative or DTTI group meeting in New Delhi next week, the Pentagon said the bilateral defence trade between the two countries is expected to reach $18-billion by year end. Undersecretary Of Defense For Acquisition And Sustainment Ellen M Lord said US is committed to strengthen its partnership with India while furthering military-to-military relationships and cooperation.
