Pragya Thakur's days begin early. Yoga is followed by meditation and a two-hour puja in her home temple. Then she switches into "MP mode". At 9.30am, 49-year-old newly elected Member-of-Parliament from Bhopal descends to her living room with the help of an assistant to meet people. She greets them with chants of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Vande Matram". They repeat after her.

The National Investigative Agency or NIA court on Friday allowed Malegaon blast case accused Bhopal lawmaker Pragya Thakur to be exempted from appearing in court on grounds that the newly-elected legislator was required to attend the ongoing Parliament Session. The application was filed by Pragya Thakur's lawyer who wrote that as a lawmaker, her presence was needed in the parliament.

BJP lawmaker Pragya Singh Thakur failed to appear before a court in Mumbai today for the second-time this week in connection with 2008 Malegaon blast case. Her lawyer Prashant Magoo told court she was suffering from high blood pressure and director of a hospital in Bhopal, speaking to NDTV, confirmed Pragya Thakur had been admitted on Tuesday evening with dehydration, hypertension and gastrointestinal complications.
