
Jaipur Theatres Stop Screening 'Panipat' Amid Protests By Jat Groups

Several theatres in Jaipur have stopped screening 'Panipat' after protests against the film's portrayal of Maharaja Suraj Mal took place in Rajasthan. "Several cinema halls...discontinued the screening...in view of the protest," Rajasthan Film Trade and Promotion Council's General Secretary Raj Bansal said. Rajasthan locals had burned 'Panipat' director Ashutosh Gowariker's effigies in protest.

MHA lists measures taken by government to prevent crime against women

Union Minister of State for Home Affair, G Kishan Reddy, in a written reply to a question regarding crime against women in Lok Sabha today said that women safety is a high priority for the government and several initiatives have been taken for the same across the country. The letter listed various initiatives taken by the government towards women's safety in the country.

Honda launches BS-VI compliant City, price starts at Rs 9.91 lakh

Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) on Tuesday introduced BS-VI compliant version of its premium sedan Honda City priced between Rs 9.91 lakh and Rs 14.31 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Petrol version of the BS-VI compliant Honda City is available in both manual and automatic transmissions, while the diesel version will be introduced subsequently, HCIL said in a statement.
