Robert Mueller, the US special counsel whose report on Russian election interference has shaken a divided Washington, will not testify before Congress next week, a top Democrat said Friday. House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler had wanted Mueller to testify on May 15, but he said a date for the highly anticipated appearance before lawmakers remained under discussion.

President Donald Trump considered nominating his daughter to head the World Bank, and she also would have been "great" as US ambassador to United Nations, he said in an interview published on Friday. "She's a natural diplomat," Trump told The Atlantic. "I even thought of Ivanka for the World Bank," Trump said. "She would've been great at that because she's very good with numbers."
