Pune Shop Owner Calls Cops As 500 Queue Up For Rs 10 Shiv Bhojan Thali

Huge demand for the highly-subsidised "Shiv Bhojan" thali and the resulting chaos forced the owner of a distribution-centre in Pune to take the help of police to manage the crowd. The owner said he had to call the police to control the situation, as atleast 500-people have been turning-up everyday to purchase the Rs.10-lunch plate during the designated two-hour timing between 12-noon and 2-pm.
Pune Metro: 3-Coach Train With 900-Passenger Capacity To Go On Trial

The trial run of Pune Metro will take place soon as a three-coach train with a capacity of 900 passengers has arrived from Nagpur, a statement from the Maharashtra chief minister's office said on Friday. A replica coach was unveiled by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai on Friday. One of the coaches will be reserved for women, it said.
2 Killed, Over 20 Injured After Bus Overturns In Pune

Two people were killed and 24-25 were injured after a state transport bus overturned on Pune-Satara road today afternoon, police said. The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) "Shivshahi" bus was on its way to Sangli from Pune when the incident happened at Shindewadi village near Katraj, some 10 kilometres from Pune, on Satara Road, the police said.
