Pakistan to remain in FATF grey list, black listing looks unlikely

Pakistan has taken satisfactory steps against terror groups, the Financial Action Task Force has said, according to diplomatic sources. The FATF at its 3-day review meeting in Beijing evaluated Pakistan's compliance efforts vis-a-vis money laundering and terror financing. The sources said China, United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, among others, did not make any adverse remark on Pakistan's action plan.

American fast-food company McDonald's has decided to open its outlets all night. The company, whose outlets were open just 15 hours, will now be open for 24 hours at select locations in Mumbai, to begin with, the company said in a statement. McDonald's becomes the first quick-service restaurant to announce these operations, the company claimed.
Ahead of Republic Day, Security Beefed up in J&K; Alert Sounded

Ahead of the Republic Day, security has been beefed up and additional arrangements made in Kashmir. Security forces in Kashmir will ensure that Republic Day passes on peacefully, IG Kashmir police Vijay Kumar said. Further, to ensure foolproof security, the police is using modern gadgets. Counter planning has also been done to foil any militant plans which may cause any disturbance on Republic Day.
