Huawei founder says revenue will be billions below forecast

Huawei's founder likened his company to a badly damaged plane Monday and said revenues will be $30 billion (roughly Rs. 2,10,000 crores) less than forecast over the next two years. The Chinese telecom giant will reduce capacity but US moves to restrict its business "will not stop us," Ren Zhengfei, who is also the CEO, said on a panel at company headquarters.

Debt-ridden national carrier Air India has commenced a 'cost-cutting and revenue augmentation' plan to garner 'financial benefits' of Rs.2,000-crore/annum. According to Civil Aviation Secretary R.N.Choubey, cost cutting and revenue augmentation plan was recently implemented by the airline. Mr.Choubey spoke to reporters on the sidelines of a curtain raiser event for the Global Aviation Summit, which will be held from January 15-16 in Mumbai.
Maruti bets big on rural demand to drive sales

Maruti Suzuki India is hoping that declining trend in fuel prices and robust rural demand will lift passenger vehicle sales in the remaining months of FY19, a senior company executive said on Wednesday. Petrol prices in New Delhi have come down 10% since hitting record Rs 84/litre on October 4. A lot of external factors have impacted car sales growth this year.
