Shiv Sena supremo and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday said that his party will not extend its support to the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 "unless things are clear". We have suggested changes in the Citizenship Amendment Bill we want in Rajya Sabha, said Thackeray. "It is an illusion that only BJP cares for the country," he added.

Mobile subscribers in J&K receive SMS service messages from Tuesday

The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Tuesday allowed service providers to start SMS service messages in the Valley so people, particularly business-persons, can receive messages from various banks, officials said. Mobile subscribers in the Kashmir Valley will now be able to receive SMS messages generated from machines, the officials said. SMS services were stopped as a "precautionary measure" on October 14.

84 infiltration attempts in Jammu and Kashmir since August 2019

As many as 84 infiltration attempts were made along the Line of Control(LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir and 59 terrorists could have entered the valley since August 2019, Minister of State for Home G.Kishan Reddy said in Lok Sabha. Reddy said regular attempts of infiltration by terrorists through the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir sponsored and supported from across the border are being made.
