Samsung faces pressure to cut spending as chip demand slackens

With Samsung Electronics Co. set to report its first-drop in quarterly profit in two-years, investors are counting on world's biggest chipmaker to cut capital spending to keep profits flowing during a supply glut. Samsung will probably report a 15% decline in net income to about 10.2 trillion won ($9.1 billion) for the last three months of 2018, according to analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
Samsung Keyboard update with floating mode spotted on Android Pie beta

Samsung could introduce a floating keyboard within the Samsung Keyboard app, XDA Developers has reported. The feature has been spotted on Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9, slated to be first devices from the South Korean company to support Android Pie beta and expected to get updates early next year. Samsung might be improving the capabilities of its Keyboard app for Android Pie.
