Congress-leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has accused the BJP of repeatedly harassing party leader Hardik Patel, who has been arrested for failing to appear before a court in a 2015 sedition-case. The Congress general-secretary said Mr Patel has been fighting for the employment of youth and the rights of farmers. The BJP is repeatedly harassing Mr Patel, Priyanka Gandhi said in a tweet in Hindi.
Sedition Case Against Celebrities Over Letter On Mob Lynching Closed

The Ministry of Home Affairs today said that the Muzaffarpur Police has filed the closure report in a sedition case registered against 49 eminent citizens for writing a letter to the Prime Minister expressing their concern about mob lynching. The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) does not maintain specific data on the arrest of journalists.
Shehla Rashid Booked For Sedition Over Allegations Against Indian Army

Delhi Police on Friday booked Kashmiri activist Shehla Rashid on sedition charges and for promoting enmity by allegedly spreading fake news about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir after Article 370 revocation. Rashid last month had tweeted that armed forces were creating "an environment of fear", adding that they were "entering houses at night, picking up boys, ransacking houses".
