No Space To Keep Coins, Banks Tell Shirdi Sai Baba Temple

The counting of cash collected in donation boxes of the famous Sai Baba temple in Shirdi was on Friday cancelled as bank officials did not turn up citing lack of space to keep coins, SSST Chief Executive Officer Deepak Muglikar said. He said the SSST had written to the banks as well as the Reserve Bank of India to solve this issue.

The famous Saibaba temple at Shirdi in Maharashtra received donations worth Rs. 14.54 crore over the 11-day period starting before Christmas and ending on the New Year day, an official said. Nearly 9.5 devotees from different parts of the country and abroad visited the Saibaba temple, located at Shirdi town in Ahmednagar district, during the 11-day period, said the source.
