SpiceJet To Start Flights From Guwahati To Bangladesh's Dhaka From July 1

Budget carrier SpiceJet will introduce flights on the Guwahati-Dhaka-Guwahati route on July 1, according to an airline spokesperson. To enhance connectivity between states and select international destinations, Guwahati-Dhaka-Guwahati flights would be launched from July 1, a SpiceJet spokesperson told IANS on Monday. Tripura's BJP-led government has been demanding flights between Agartala and Dhaka and other cities in Bangladesh.

SpiceJet offers 19 more flights from Mumbai from May 4

No-frills carrier SpiceJet announced launch of 19 more flights connecting the city with various other domestic-destinations, beginning the weekend. This is the fourth-time that SpiceJet has been expanding its network in less than a month, particularly since the grounding of Jet Airways last month. With the new flights, its connectivity to Madurai, Jammu, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Jaipur and Guwahati with Mumbai will improve considerably.

India's SpiceJet Ltd said it will prioritize hiring employees of Jet Airways Ltd who are losing their jobs after the crisis-hit Indian airline halted all flight operations indefinitely this week. "We have already provided jobs to more than 100-pilots, more than 200-cabin crew and more than 200-technical and airport staff," said Ajay Singh, chairman and managing director of SpiceJet. "We will do more."
