BSE, NSE to open for trading on Saturday for Union Budget 2020

India's leading stock exchanges NSE and BSE will remain open for trading on Saturday, February 1, as Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presents her second Union Budget. In 2015, when former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the Budget on a Saturday, February 28, stock exchanges were kept open for trading, to allow market participants to digest the volatility from the budget announcements.
Markets End at Record High as Nifty Maintains 12,300 Plus on Close

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closed at record highs of 41,859.69 and 12,329.55 respectively on Monday. Among the Sensex 30 stocks, Infosys was the top gainer, rising over 4%. The gain in Infosys stock came after the IT company announced strong third-quarter earnings and found no evidence of financial misconduct by its executives following an investigation into whistleblower complaints.
YES Bank cracks 8% despite fundraising plans

Shares of YES Bank cracked 8 percent in Monday's session after the lender on Friday rejected Erwin Singh Braich's $1.2 billion investment offer but said that it will raise Rs 10,000 crore by issuing securities. The bank on Friday also said it will take up Citax Holdings, and Citax Investment Group's investment offers in the next board meeting.
