"Pak Terrorists Indoctrinating Prisoners": Plea Seeks Transfer To Tihar

The Jammu and Kashmir government has moved the Supreme Court to transfer 7 Pakistan terrorists from Jammu jail to Delhi's Tihar. The government said they were indoctrinating local prisoners. The court has sought the centre's response over the petition. The counsel for the Jammu and Kashmir government said that the terrorists can be shifted to other high security jails, if not Tihar.

SC appoints former judge D K Jain as first ombudsman in BCCI

The Supreme Court Thursday appointed its former judge, Justice D K Jain as the first ombudsman for the BCCI. A bench comprising Justices S A Bobde and A M Sapre said: "We are happy that by consent of the parties and the suggestions, the name of retired Justice D K Jain has been agreed to be appointed as the ombudsman in the BCCI."

SC exempts painkiller Saridon from the banned list in India

Piramal Enterprises Ltd (PEL) Thursday said its pain relief tablet brand Saridon has been exempted from the list of banned fixed dose combinations (FDCs) by the Supreme Court. In a regulatory filing, the company said the apex court has ruled in favour of Saridon, which is a heritage brand from its healthcare product portfolio.
