Tamil Nadu: Passenger attacked by transport employees

A heated argument turned into a brutal brawl at a bus-station in Dindigul district of Tamil-Nadu. A group of public-transport workers attacked a passenger in Dindigul. The quarrel began when the passenger questioned the bus-conductor on why he was changing the clothes in front of other women-passenger. When the bus reached the Dindigul bus stand, a quarrel broke-out between bus conductor and the passenger.
Centre gives over Rs 47,000 cr to 27 states for green activities

The environment ministry on Thursday released over Rs 47,000 crore to 27 states for compensatory afforestation and other green activities, including prevention of forest fire, biodiversity management and soil conservation. The funds were released by Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar under Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA), said the source.
NIA Conducts Raids at Five Locations in Coimbatore in IS Module Case

The NIA on Thursday conducted searches across multiple locations in connection with its ongoing probe into the IS Kerala-Tamil Nadu module. "During searches at the houses of five associates of the accused persons, digital devices, including 1 laptop, 5 mobile phones, 4 SIM cards, 1 memory card and 8 CDs/DVDs, and a large number of incriminating documents have been seized," said the source.
