Industrialists, Including Ambanis, Among First To Vote In Mumbai

The Ambanis, Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran and Adi Godrej were among the early voters in Mumbai during polling for the fourth and final phase of Lok Sabha elections. Mr Chandrasekaran and his wife voted at a polling booth at Worli in Central Mumbai, while Mr Godrej cast his ballot in the Malabar Hill area in south Mumbai.
Tata Sons rejigs businesses into ten verticals

Tata Group holding company Tata Sons has restructured the $104-billion conglomerate into 10 verticals such as consumer, trading and investments. The holding company's representatives will head the verticals and ensure coordination and smooth functioning of the businesses in each of them, said two people with knowledge of the plan. These new verticals under Chandrasekaran will help about 100 cos synergise operations and cut costs.
Tata Sons wants to fly out of joint venture with AirAsia

Tata Sons is looking to end its partnership with AirAsia Bhd as it only wants to be engaged in one-airline-business, Vistara, joint venture with SIA, according to several-people aware of the matter. Initial discussions to this end have begun, even as the conglomerate inches closer to a separate deal to acquire ownership stake in India's second-biggest airline Jet Airways from its founder Naresh Goyal.
