Foreign Assets Worth Rs 200 Crore Found After Raids On Congress Leader

Tax-officials have recovered foreign assets worth over Rs.200-crore after raids against Haryana Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi and his family, the Income Tax Department said on Sunday. Tax officials had searched 13 premises linked to Kuldeep Bishnoi in Haryana, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh on July-23. "Evidence detected so far reveals undisclosed cash dealings of huge amounts in immovable property transactions, construction among others," it added.

The four-day search operation by the IT-Department Haryana Congress legislator Kuldeep Bishnoi's homes ended on Friday with his youngest son accompanying the officials when they left his residence in Hisar. The officials conducted the tax evasion-related search operation at residential premises of Kuldeep Bishnoi, son of former CM Bhajan Lal, in Hisar, Mandi Adampur and Gurugram in Haryana as well as in New Delhi.
