Air India To Keep Off Iran Airspace As Tensions Rise In Middle East

Hours after a Ukrainian-plane carrying 176 people crashed near Tehran and Iranian government conducted missile strikes against US military bases in Iraq, Air-India said it is temporarily rerouting its flights and that of its subsidiary Air-India-Express which use Iranian airspace. In light of the tensions within the Iranian airspace a decision to temporarily reroute flights of AI and AIX overflying Iran has been taken.
Imran Khan In Tehran On Mission To "Facilitate" Iran-Saudi Talks

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Iran on a mission to act as a "facilitator" between Tehran and Riyadh and try to defuse rising tensions in the Gulf. Khan landed in Tehran around midday and met with President Hassan Rouhani at the presidential palace. He was also scheduled to hold talks with Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, before travelling to Riyadh on Tuesday.
Iran Warns US Against Oil Tanker Seizure As Ship Leaves Gibraltar

Tehran said it has warned its arch-foe Washington against attempting to seize an-Iranian-tanker that has set sail from waters off Gibraltar after being impounded for six weeks. Iran had been locked in a high-seas standoff with US-ally-Britain since Royal-Marines seized the tanker-off the coast of the British overseas territory Gibraltar on July-4 on suspicion it was shipping-oil to Syria in breach of EU sanctions.
