All around Half Moon Island, off the Antarctic Peninsula, blocks of ice of all sizes float by on a calm sea, their varying forms resembling weightless origami shapes. Antarctic tour operators insist they are promoting responsible tourism.

Jammu And Kashmir Reopens To Tourists After 2 Months, All Help Assured

Jammu and Kashmir has been reopened to tourists from today, more than two-months after the government asked tourists and pilgrims to leave the state before it made the big announcement of ending the special-status for Jammu and Kashmir. In an order dated October-9, Jammu and Kashmir's Home Department lifted the travel advisory in the state following Governor Satya Pal Malik's instructions earlier this week.

India orders students, tourists out of Kashmir for security

Thousands of Indian students and visitors were fleeing Indian-controlled Kashmir over the weekend after the government ordered tourists and Hindu pilgrims visiting a Himalayan cave shrine "to curtail their stay'' in the disputed territory, citing security concerns. Omar Abdullah, a pro-India Kashmiri leader who has criticized the Modi-led government's muscular approach in Kashmir, said New Delhi should clear the air in Kashmir.
