Aleksander Ceferin re-elected unopposed as UEFA President

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin was on Thursday re-elected for a four-year term as head of European football's governing body by acclamation. The 51-year-old Slovenian lawyer was the only candidate going forward for election at the UEFA Congress in Rome. Ceferin took over two and a half years ago after the corruption scandal that toppled his predecessor, Frenchman Michel Platini.

FIFA says incumbent Gianni Infantino is sole candidate for president

FIFA president Gianni Infantino will not face a challenger in June's elections to head of world soccer's governing body, organisation said. Infantino's plans for new-expanded-Club World-Cup and a global Nations League tournament have put him at loggerheads with European confederation UEFA and club organisations. UEFA will hold their own elections at their congress in Rome where incumbent, Slovenian lawyer, Aleksander Ceferin is unopposed.

AC Milan given until 2021 to break even or face European ban

AC Milan have been given until June 2021 to comply with UEFA's break even Financial Fair Play rule or face a-one-season ban from European club football, European soccer's governing body said. As-a-result, they were able to enter the second-tier Europa League where they were eliminated in the group stage. UEFA also barred the club from registering new-players in European competition for the next two-seasons.
