Protesters torch 2 houses, fire tender at Jaffrabad, Maujpur

Tension escalated in northeast Delhi with protesters torching atleast two houses and a fire tender in the Jaffrabad and Maujpur areas, where pro and anti-CAA groups clashed for the second consecutive day on Monday and hurled stones at each other. Violence was also reported from the Chandbagh area in Jaffrabad. Police fired tear gas shells and also resorted to lathicharge to disperse the protesters.
Coronavirus epicentre Wuhan revokes announcement easing lockdown

An announcement that Chinese-city of Wuhan would relax some of its travel restrictions and allow some-people to leave was made without authorization and has been revoked, local-government said. The city at the epicenter of a coronavirus outbreak that has already killed more than 2,500-people said it would continue to impose strict controls over its borders in order to prevent the virus from spreading further.
Maharashtra Budget session begins, BJP raises farm loan waiver issue

The budget session of the Maharashtra-Assembly got off to a noisy start on Monday as the opposition BJP accused the Shiv Sena-led state-government of not fulfilling the assurances made to farmers and failing to check the rising crimes against women. Leader of Opposition in the assembly Devendra Fadnavis demanded a discussion on the issue of farmers "not getting" benefits of the loan waiver scheme.
