Agra Police Introduces Mobile Team To Monitor "Professional Criminals"

Agra police have introduced an eagle mobile-team to keep an eye on "professional criminals". "Criminals after coming out of prison think that nobody is watching them so they tend to commit crimes again. Now the eagle mobile team will monitor their activities," Bablu Kumar, senior police officer added. According to Uttar Pradesh police, in the last-two-years, 9,225 criminals were arrested and 81 were killed.

Muslim Boy Thrashed For Refusing To Chant ''Jai Shri Ram'' In Kanpur

A 16-year-old Muslim-boy was allegedly beaten by unidentified men in Kanpur for wearing a traditional skull-cap and refusing to chant "Jai Shri Ram", police said. The incident occurred on Friday when Mohammad Taj, a-resident-of Barra, was returning home after offering namaz in Kidwai-Nagar, the UP police said. The 16-year-old alleged that men told him that wearing the skull-cap was "not allowed" in the area.

Police in UP will now be able to solve cases with help of an-application that has a-data-base of 5L criminals as-well-as artificial intelligence, face recognition and a-host-of other tech features, officials said. Named 'Trinetra' or third eye, it was launched by UP Police chief OP Singh at a conference of senior officers during the annual 'police week' celebrations in Lucknow, a senior official said.
