Glitch In Wheel Of Vande Bharat Express, Replaced With Tejas Rake

The wheel of the Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express developed some technical-glitch due to which a Tejas rake was run on Friday replacing the state-of-the-art train, a spokesperson said. The glitch was detected on Thursday night when the train arrived at Delhi station from Katra and was undergoing maintenance, the spokesperson said. Railways has said that 40 Vande Bharat trains will be out by 2022.

Passengers on board the Varanasi-Delhi Vande Bharat Express were on Sunday stranded inside the train for around an hour without fan, air conditioning and lights when its auxiliary converter failed, officials said on Sunday. The train's AC stopped working 10 minutes before reaching Allahabad station at 4:50 pm. The defect was rectified, cooling ensured and it left at around 6.00 pm, they said.

India's fastest train Vande Bharat Express has run into quite a-few-hurdles in its smooth-running since the train was launched. On Wednesday, stones were pelted on Vande Bharat Express near Tundla in UP as train was going towards Kanpur from New Delhi. One window glass of train was damaged in incident. This is third-time when stone were pelted on Vande Bharat Express since its inception.
