Kerala to set up country's first global trade centre for women

In a major initiative to accelerate women entrepreneurship and secure gender parity, Kerala will set up the country's first International Women's Trade Centre (iWTC), in consonance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in Kozhikode. The first phase of iWTC, being executed under the Gender Park's "Vision 2020", is scheduled to be completed by 2021.
Over 2 lakh women apply for 100 jawan posts

In an overwhelming response to the Army's move to induct women in the other ranks of the Corps of Military Police(CMP), more than 2L candidates have applied for the 100-posts advertised. The Army in April this year had invited applications for recruitment of 100 Soldiers General Duty (Women Military Police). The last date of submitting applications was June-6, which was later extended to June-30.
Delhi Metro, bus rides likely to be free of cost for women

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced women can travel free of cost on all DTC buses, cluster buses and metro trains. "Women who can afford these modes of transport can purchase tickets, they need not take subsidy," he added. "Around 3,000 new public buses will be on the streets by the end of the year," he further said.
