The CAA and the proposed NRC are aimed at "dividing" the country on communal lines, former Union minister Yashwant Sinha said. Mr Sinha added that if Mahatma Gandhi were alive today, he would have led an agitation against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking "communal" decisions. Mr Sinha also questioned PM Modi for not inviting Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for a pre-budget meeting.
Yashwant Sinha's Rashtra Manch to take out Yatra against CAA

Former Union minister Yashwant Sinha announced that Rashtra Manch, his political action group, will take out 'Bharat Jodo Yatra 2020' from Mumbai to Delhi to demand withdrawal of the CAA. Addressing a press conference, the former BJP leader said the 21-day yatra will begin on January 9 and reach Delhi at the Rajghat on January 30, on the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha hit rewind to Mahabharata today to find new-insults for the BJP as protests over the new-citizenship-law roils the country. Responding to BJP chief Amit Shah's "tukde tukde" comment, Mr Sinha, a-former-member of the BJP, tweeted: "The most dangerous tukde tukde gang in India consists of only two people, Duryodhan and Dusshashan. They are both in BJP. Beware of them."
