Delhi Government: Budget allocates Rs 5,500 crores for public transport

Delhi’s deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, while presenting the budget in the Delhi assembly, has proposed a total expenditure of Rs 5,506 crores for public transport, including road infrastructure in 2017-18. This includes a revenue budget of Rs 3,512 crores and capital budget of Rs 1,994 crores. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will also be given Rs 1,156 crores in the next financial year.
