Digital Transactions Jump 25% Per Month After Demonetization

Digital transactions have increased by 25% per month, after demonetization and the government’s initiatives towards a cashless economy. Both organized retail and roadside merchants, are shifting from cash payments to digital payments. Our country has around 15 Lakh POS terminals. India also has about 74 crore debit cards and 2.7 crore credit cards. Mobile wallets have also taken off, after demonetization.
