
Elephant rampage in Odisha compels authorities to shut down over 600 schools

Tension prevailed in Odisha's Jajpur district after a wild elephant trampled at least two persons to death. The elephant injured four others including a forest official, in Godipatna village under Panikoili police limits, who are all now in critical condition. The deceased have been identified as 55-year-old Iswar Chandra Das and 60-year-old Chintamani Ram, both are residents of Godipatana village.
