Rajya Sabha passed The Enemy Property (Amendment and Validation) Bill, 2016 on Friday, in the sixth attempt after ordinances were passed to keep the Bill alive. As the government introduced the Bill for consideration in the Rajya Sabha, the entire Opposition walked out. Government of India should have right over such assets and not the heirs of citizens of enemy countries, says Jaitley.
