Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon Spend Big on Ads In spite Of Losses

E-commerce businesses may be running under losses, but they haven’t stopped splurging on advertising, whether on television or radio. E-commerce firms including Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal, spent INR 7,252 crores in 2016, which is a 26% jump over the amount spent in 2015. Amazon India spent INR 946.4 Crores on advertising in 2016, compared to INR 766.3 crores in 2015.
