Government and RBI ask banks to increase ATM cash supply

The Government and the Reserve Bank of India, have directed banks to make ATMs fully functional. They have also said that more money should be transferred to ATM machines and ensure adequate supplies of funds in rural areas. Currently, over 66% of the country's 2.12 lakh ATMs, are dispensing cash. The focus is on making sure 100% of ATMs are dispensing cash.
