Life insurers see dip in new business premium in February

As many as 24 life insurers posted a 4.4 percent dip in first-year premium income to Rs 10,791.68 crore in February as compared to Rs11,296.22 crore in the same month a year ago. According to data compiled by the IRDA, LIC reported a 12.2% decrease in its new business premium. However, 23 private players reported a 13% up in its new business premium.
