The transport department released a draft parking policy on Wednesday, directed by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, which could officially do away with free parking in residential colonies. The draft policy specified that roads need to be identified based on density, width and connectivity. Also, a plan must be initiated to discourage the use of public space for parking of cars.
